Don’t know what to wear for that one special occasion?
I completely understand. It’s a common feeling for us women. A wardrobe full of clothes, a rack full of shoes, bags full of make-up and still nothing to wear! It’s a nightmare.
However, one outfit I feel fits all of the general social occasions a woman can attend is this one. The short black skirt, from Miss Selfridge teamed with a sassy pair of high heels makes legs seem longer and more defined.
The platform heels were from New Look and incorporate the two main colours I was wearing. One quick tip for any outfit – always always always ensure that your accessories match. If you’re wearing red heels, team it with a red handbag and red lipstick. It just looks like you’ve co-ordinated your style and helps create a smarter, sleek look.
I teamed the skirt with a plain pale t-shirt and a lace jacket from River Island. Sophisticated and elegant without looking too over-dressed all in one look. The pink lace jacket I’ve had for years and looks great teamed up with a pair of skinny jeans too, or any outfit for that matter. This is the type of jacket that I feel every girl should own.

ReplyDeleteSome prices would be good how much for the heels
ReplyDeleteThe River Island lace jacket was bought a few years ago now - I vaguely remember it being about £25-30. The Miss Selfridge skirt was £22 last year, and the New Look shoes were £20.
DeleteI hope this has helped - sorry for the late reply. x
