Travel Lookbooks - Budapest

I haven't blogged for a while on here so I thought I would write a style post for you about some of my recent outfits.

I recently visited Budapest (check out my personal blog for more pics and recommendations). This is what I wore. I always keep my outfit simple, that’s just the way I dress myself.

·         Trousers: H&M - I love these patterned trousers from H&M, I actually bought these on a whim when I had to exchange a dress that didn't fit me. I was unsure about it for a while but I really liked the way they looked on.
·         Top: BooHoo.com - The top is one of my favourite items of clothing ever. You can switch the straps around so that they intertwine on your chest or on your back for different looks.
·         Sandals: vintage - I didn't want to be walking around in Budapest looking like I should be in a nightclub! I wanted something comfortable to walk around it but that still looked stylish so I chose to wear some jewelled sandals that I've had for some time.
·         Watch: Seksy by Sekonda - I think everyone should invest in a rose gold watch. The colour is just gorgeous; you can't go wrong!
·         Sunglasses: RayBan - I have about 4 pairs of RayBans now and I do love them, they are a bit pricey but I do think they are worth the money - my sunglasses have never scratched or broken.
·         Bag: Primark - I really liked this bag, I'm more of a clutch kind of girl, on a night out I can't wear any bag that has a strap. But for walking around a new city, I thought this bag was great! It folds over so that it rests comfortably and there's a lot more space that it looks!
What do you guys think?

As I said before, I love simple outfits. If you aren't like me however, you can take one of these outfits and choose some jewellery and style up your outfit more. This was my outfit for the night.

·         Top: Matalan - I have really been loving these camis that you can find from anywhere, but in Matalan I have been loving the amount of styles and colours you can get.

·         Skirt: Dorothy Perkins - My black skirt is a staple item, every girl needs one - if you don't, I suggest you go shopping!
·         Shoes: Matalan - Similarly with shoes, Matalan's collection always seem to have a great range of styles and colours.
·         Watch: see OOTD.

Let me know what you guys think! :)

Favourite Mac Lipsticks

My all-time favourite Mac lipsticks

MAC lipsticks have always been my favourite ever since I bought my first ever lip product from the MAC counters aged 15. I haven’t looked back since! Beautiful textures and abstract colours at mainly affordable prices have ensured that MAC products remain my fave! Enjoy my top 5 MAC lipsticks and let me know which brands/colours are your fave so I can try them ;-)

Disclaimer: Some lipsticks stated below (*) are matte lipsticks so use a lip balm before applying to avoid your lips from drying out.

1. Heroine

This beautiful shade of deep purple looks amazing as an accessory for a night on the town. Its almost gothic look and smooth application makes for an easy way to glamourize any outfit. It may be summer, but I have a feeling this colour will be a classic.

2. Neon Orange

Orange is a colour that can be rare to pull off. The neon orange lipstick is a beautiful colour, but usually looks better when used for adding a pop of colour in a stark outfit, as opposed to matching to the said outfit. Use wisely and the neon orange lipstick could brighten up your summer!

3. Hot Tahiti

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love nude lipsticks. However, for some reason I much prefer them in the winter. For a twist on the classic nude lipstick, Hot Tahiti is the perfect replacement! Compliments almost any outfit, which is perfect for the lip shade that requires minimal thought, (perfect when you’re rushing around / getting late!)

4. Relentlessly Red

Every girl needs a red lipstick in her make-up bags. Not everyone suits red, which is absolutely fine, but any kind of red (especially Relentlessly Red) adds a pop of colour to any outfit. For the girls who don’t like bright red lipstick, it is a more subtle shade of pink with undertones of coral.

5. Flat Out Fabulous

I’ve saved my most favourite lipstick until last! I love this shade of pink; it’s an ultimate summer colour being bright and the ability to look glam without looking OTT. The shade could differ according to your skin colour (some people have said it looks like a bright fuchsia, whereas others have mentioned plum undertones). However, one thing I can guarantee is the name is a true reflection of how it makes you look and feel – FLAT OUT FABULOUS!

Divya - Incite

Is it just me who gets a little bit more disheartened each time they log into Facebook? I’m quite sick of seeing people I went to school with getting engaged, getting pregnant or getting promoted. It might have something to do with the fact that I am a 19 year-old student who probably doesn’t know what she’s doing next week, let alone with her life.

I’m not sure if I’m alone with this but I genuinely do feel more pressure on my own life by seeing so many others doing SOMETHING with their lives.

For everyone who is silently agreeing with me whilst reading this, I’m here to tell you that this doesn’t have to be the case! CHILL. We are probably all at different stages of our lives at the moment, so why should we be rushing to be or do something? My advice to everyone thinking they should be thinking of settling down or getting married or having children – if you don’t want to, then don’t. The society that we are living in has enough pressures that many of us bow down to already - don’t make this one!

Now I’m not saying that these things can’t be achieved in the future, of course not. And similarly I’m not saying that having children young or getting married young is wrong. I do feel however, there is so much beauty to see in this world, a lot of it we will never be able to see properly. So what reason is there to rush so many aspects of our lives that could eventually happen anyways?

Personally, I would much rather take my time deciding when to undertake these aspects of my life. I would rather get up and go travelling than settle down.

I would rather make memories than make babies. I would rather learn from my mistakes and live and love my life. After all, we are put on this planet to do exactly that

In her handbag - Divya

One of my favourite products at the moment is something that every woman should keep in her handbag. For people like me who don’t get enough sleep or are always on the go, it is perfect. It comes in at just under £9 but it’s definitely worth the money! I use it underneath my eyes to conceal the dark rings beneath my eyes when I haven’t had enough sleep (I’m sure many of you can relate).

I’ve also recently purchased a Mac lipstick in the colour of Crème Cup. The colour is perfect for any skin colour because it’s a mix of nude and pale pink. I’ve bought quite a few products from Mac and it’s a good brand and hasn’t let me down before. Definitely worth the money as the lipstick is usually long lasting and only needs 1 coat to last a few hours.

My buys from New Look

So after this stressful exam period, I went out and did what every girl should do to cheer herself up – SHOPPING!

There are many shops that I love but New Look has to be one of my favourite high street shops, due to its on-trend fashion and reasonable prices. I recently purchased a pair of blue denim wash short dungarees. Dungarees may have looked extremely nerdy back in the day but they have made a return to the fashion scene and they are looking very cute! Denim will always be around, and these dungarees are the perfect item of clothing for girls who don’t want to wear shorts but want to show some skin for summer. I will team these dungarees with a simple white vest top to wear underneath and a pair of white flip-flops, however think of the dungarees as a pair of jeans; pretty much anything will go with them. At £24.99 they aren’t cheap but for a staple item for summer, it is definitely worth the price!

I also purchased a skater skirt from TopShop. Upon discovering this type of skirt, I have realised that for girls who have a smaller derrière (like myself) it illuminates that particular body part and draws attention to other parts of your body, your smaller hips for example. The colour I chose for my skater skirt was a purple, because it’s an ideal colour whether for summer or winter. I decided to team my skater skirt with a black vest top, a chunky necklace and coral coloured shoes to add a pop of colour. The skirt comes in at £16.00, however it is definitely an item that can be re-worn in a number of different styles.

London Fashion Week must own make-up

Now ladies, as much as we hate to admit it, most of us look dreadful first thing in the morning. Only joking, we’re all stunning! ;-) However, we all love to wear a little bit of make-up on a night out or a special occasion. Some of my favourite colours are out in the shops at the moment, and it might be the perfect thing for us to forget about this freezing weather and another excuse to go shopping!

One of my favourite colours is this rich red-pink because it adds a pop of colour into any outfit. The price for this lipstick is amazing value at £2.95 considering it is a major brand such as L’Oreal. The shade is called Audacious Amazons Pout and its also great value on the website because its on a 3-for-2 offer, so buy 2 more colours!

I’ve recently learnt that applying a primer before foundation allows your make-up to stay in place all night, without having to touch up. This primer is the one that I used, also from L’Oreal, which is one of my favourite brands of make-up to use. It left my face feeling silky smooth and I would definitely recommend it. At £12.15 with free delivery, it’s a bargain because it lasts a while and saves you from reapplying your make-up.

Sonas Couture

Sona’s couture could be described as every bride’s dream; fashionable and glamorous outfits for every occasion a bride could think of.
Sonascouture OozesCouture

The first dress that struck me was a simple mehndi/sangeet type outfit. I loved the colours (fuchsia pink and olive) just because it’s an uncommon and unique combination. The stonework is heavy but not too frequent so it still looks impressive but classic and the dupatta and churidar are shaded and printed with a border.

Fushia and Olive Outfit : Sona's Couture

The other outfit I chose was mainly because it was something I think every bride should have in their wardrobes. It’s a simple but classy anarkhali. With its peach and cream colours, its an outfit that could be worn at a sangeet/mehndi. The original point of the outfit is the bows at the bottom of the churidar, which is made of crepe silk whilst the top is velvet and brocade.

After concluding that Kyle’s Collection has some amazing pieces of jewellery, one of the favourite pieces would have to be the Amulet Teardrop Set.
