The next upcoming trend

Fashion month has come to an end but that doesn't mean street style comes to an end. It's the job of bloggers to decode the upcoming trend and the IT accessories or shoes that go into the season.

Moda Fashion Oozes Couture

One thing that struck with me during this summer spring show is the bold combination of knee high or over the knew boots with the breezy outfits which are appropriate for the hot beach days.

So don't be afraid to invest in those suede grey boots or black leather ones or hell even the tan fringe ones in this fall season because this trend is here to stay.
Oozes Couture Trend

Be it the fashion blogger Kristina or the supermodel Cara walking down for Givenchy it's a sure sign that the boots aren't going anywhere for the next two seasons!

Humid Weather Singapore

It's sweltering humid in my city lately, it's almost possible to fry an egg.

It's hard to look good all the time when it's extremely hot outside. You just want to be in the most comfortable avatar so that you can beat the heat. I can't guarantee that you will be able to keep cool 24/7 but by following these tips, you get to keep enough cool and enjoy your day away.

Hair and makeup
Sonia Ullah

Hair and makeup plays an important role of our personal appearance. If they look good, no doubt, it'll be a good face day. However, to balance both a good hair and makeup in this weather is really hard. Try to keep it simple and you have the world on your fingertips.

Foundation: Skip the foundation so that it will not melt on your face with the extreme heat. Try not to put so much of blush and bronzer as they will melt too when it's exposed to hot weather.

Hair: To let your hair down is the last thing you would ever want to do when it's burning hot outside. Try a messy bun, ponytail or braids. So that you don't have to waste time to use heat products to tame them...because trust me, you wouldn't want to mess with your hair texture by using these heat products. Keep it sweet and simple.

Outfits

Dresses and skirts allow more air circulation than pants. So, you might want to opt for a maxi which shockingly, will be as comfortable as a short dress. Avoid tucking things in so that you won't stress all the heat and sweat more instead. Be a little picky when it comes to your fabrics. Go for natural ones like cotton or linen.

Little details

This is when you have to choose only light colours. Avoid dark colours, especially black. It will absorb heat and make you feel hotter. White is the perfect colour for this time of the season. Try not to go with tight fitting clothes as the looser cuts will keep you cooler by letting more air circulate. To beat this heat, I love flowing styles. They are extremely perfect for summer.

Accessories

It's always important to be ready for sudden change in weather though it might be always humid outside. Carry a lightweight cardigan or jacket so that you can just put it over. I don't trust the weather because it can very unpredictable so I will always carry a ¾ sleeve cardigan with me. Otherwise, a scarf will be helpful too.

My favourite part of accessories is jewelry. An armful bangles or a big necklace will do the magic to match your casual and simple outfit. Plus, they won't add on to the heat.

Try to don your outfit with pretty sandals instead of flip flops. We still have to look chic even though the weather is trying to cut that out.

So, there you go... a little write up to help you to look good despite the heat. Share with me how you

deal with the hot weather.

Till then, rock your fashion world.

Part 2 of 2 PIMPLES, ACNE AND SCARS

As promised in Part 1 here are the 5 points in  more detail

Point 1: eat healthy.
All of you will agree with me when I say that you are what you eat. We live each day eating just whatever we want but not think of what the consequences we might face later on. We've got to avoid a little bit to gain something better, right? So, we've got to watch what is going into our body. I tried to cut down oily food and chocolates. I have a massive love for chocolates but thinking about it, I let it go. I cut it down and only take chocolates only for once a month.

Point 2: take stress well
Stress is a very common factor in our lives. It's the way you deal with it that will differentiate you from others. We can't avoid stress but we can change it into something positive and live happily. Try not to take things too heavily on your shoulders. If you can put it aside and not drag the stress for a long period, that's great. Remember, when you are stressed, you are inviting these pimples to grow on your face.

Point 3: Minimal make up
It's not wrong to put on makeup to enhance your looks but limit the amount of chemicals that you are putting on your face. I tried to go on with just eyeliner and it was all good. Point to note, NEVER SLEEP WITH MAKEUP ON.

Point 4: Apply some effort
We've got to put in some extra effort to see some extra good results, right? I tried to put on some goat's milk solution mixed with some other items(i'll do a product review on it soon) recommended by this colleague of mine who worked in the skin industry for quite some time. It was such a pain as I hate putting on extra things on my face but trust me, it will be worth the effort. Point to note here, NEVER TOUCH YOUR FACE WITH YOUR HAN DS. WASH THEM FIRST. You never know what you might touch that will cause your hands to carry germs and bacterias. Don't let them affect your beautiful face.

Point 5: Smile!
We've got to be happy with every little progress. The happier we are, your face will show the glow twice more. Trust me, you will look even younger and youthful when you smile and laugh more.

Part 1 of 2 PIMPLES, ACNE AND SCARS

ACNE AND SCARS..
Photo: karstenkneese
We've got to agree that all of us seek first-hand help from the internet whenever we aren't unable to understand certain issues in our lives. Specifically for the ladies, we are more concerned about every little thing that is happening to us. Yes, we are very concerned.
Today's topic is PIMPLES, ACNE AND SCARS. This is one of the most important topic in our lives; for both men and ladies, I'd say.

I've got to admit I was among one of you who had acne and trust me, like all of you, I didn't have a good time having them on my face. I felt so insecure and irritated by the fact that when I speak to someone face to face, all that they will notice after the conversation is my acne. I had everyone pointing it out to me that it is time for me to take care of my face and look better.

They went “your acne is really bad. You've got to take care of it otherwise you'll be bullied.”

Yes, it's true. I faced that “being bullied” phase and it wasn't pleasing to share at all. It was a sour phase.
Photo: pollobarba
We do have a group of people who face this problem but they're not doing anything. All day all night, they keep telling themselves that I want to look good but this acne is not helping me. They want to help themselves by NOT DOING ANYTHING!

Like the saying goes, you've got to be the change you want to see.

I live by this quote every single day. I make sure that nothing pulls me down and I hope not to stop living by this quote as it has pushed me really far in life.

Back to the point, my acne is already at the period where I can say that it has almost vanished but how did I do that?

Let me share with you my little secret.

There are the very 5 simple points I practiced religiously to make sure that I can say goodbye to acne.

Eat healthy – you are what you eat (esp oily food)
Take stress well.
Make sure you limit the amount of makeup you put on
Apply some effort to push it away
Smile!

I will cover these points in more detail in my next part two of this 2 part special.

Till then,

Henna Art

Historically, henna was used for cosmetic purposes in the Roman Empire, as well as other parts of North Africa. It was also popular among women in 19th-century Europe. Today, bridal henna nights remain a tradition in many Asian Wedding.

Shamim is a freelance henna artist with her own artistic personality. We love the work influenced by style and culture. Below is some of her work.
